2025 Fishing Season Recap: Memorable Moments and Challenges

Another guide season in the books! Despite another summer of some challenging conditions we still had plenty of memorable days on the water. 2025 was another season with below average river flows and warmer water. This resulted in most of our rivers being on restriction or some rivers being closed. This meant that both clients and guides had to be flexible and adapt through the season. We had some long drives, and plenty of miles on the truck, but lots of nice fish hit the net. All of our main destinations still had moments of excellent fishing! There were great stonefly hatches on Rock Creek. Nice fish are still being caught on the Big Hole River. The Missouri River provided excellent nymph fishing throughout the season. Right now snow is falling in Montana and we are on a Winter Weather Advisory through the end of the week. Hopefully this trend continues and we will have a substantial snow-pack to start the 2026 season.
