McKinnie Fly Fishing Outfitters of Montana

McKinnie Fly Fishing Outfitters of Montana is based in Philipsburg, MT. We are lucky to have Rock Creek and Georgetown Lake in our backyard. From Philipsburg we can easily access the Blackfoot, Bitterroot and Clark Fork Rivers, all Blue Ribbon Trout Streams that hold at least 2,000 wild trout per river mile. Philipsburg is a historic mining town offering unique activities for the entire family and is centrally located between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.

We also provide fly-fishing adventures on the world famous streams surrounding the Bozeman area. From there, fishing on the Madison, Yellowstone and Missouri Rivers are easily accessible.

Outfitter and Lead Guide, John McKinnie, is a life long outdoorsman and has been fly-fishing for over 25 years. His dream of being a fishing guide brought him to Montana in 2011. He enjoys helping anglers of all skill levels improve their casting abilities, utilizing his Casting Instructor Certification from Fly Fishers International, while showcasing the beautiful and diverse fishing options around Montana.
